The
QWERTY keyboard was invented in the year 1870s by Christopher Latham
Sholes. He is the one who invented the printing
machine earlier used, now at your backyard, Typewriter. The keyboard earlier used in typewriters later
in computers and are so common in mobile phones at present.
The
keyboard so designed to help the people to type easily and to avoid the jams
among the keys happened earlier in the typewriters. While the keyboard became popular, typewriters
are invented to type both upper and lower case letters.
Though
later when the computer keyboards are used, there was no jam among keys, since
people are used to the QWERTY keyboards, all the keyboards have the same set of
keys set-up. Now, you have many keys in
your keyboards. Even though touch
keypads are introduced, QWERTY keypads are popular as it is easier to type
faster and accurate.
